COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
SIX-WEEK BEGINNERS COURSE WITH DANI:
This 6-week course with Dani takes you through the fundamentals of the practice in structured weekly classes. This course is great if you are brand new to yoga or for anyone wanting to refresh their knowledge of the main principles of yoga and ease back into the practice after a time away.
Dani’s course content includes a mix of physical practice - guiding you to learn the basic postures (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama) - and the sharing of yogic philosophy. You'll gain the knowledge and confidence to participate in open studio classes, learn how the breath has the power to influence your mind, and begin the process of applying these teachings to your every day life.
SIX-WEEK INTRODUCTION TO YOGA WITH KARA / CLARE:
These courses, led by studio owner, Kara Sweney, and senior practitioner Clare Roberts are designed for beginners to yoga, who may never have stepped foot on a yoga mat, or into a studio before but are also great for anyone who has had a time away from their practice. The course aims to introduce you to a studio environment, the terminology, tools and the fundamentals of the practice of Yoga - basic postures and movement and the importance of breath.
For absolute beginners, we want to "break the ice" on Yoga for you and equip you with the knowledge and some confidence to join the classes on our timetable. Whilst we work hard to make our studio environment and approach as welcoming as possible, often going to a yoga class for the first time can be a little intimidating so we hope to provide you with an accessible and comfortable introduction to what could be a life changing new practice.
This will be a physical based course to allow you to experience the practice and “try it on for size”. For those interested in yoga philosophy the six-week course with Dani will be more suited or can be taken in succession to this course.
