New to the studio or to yoga?
Do you have an introductory offer?
Yes we have three! Click here to view these offers. Everyone can buy each one once.
What do I need to bring with me?
Nothing! Just yourself. We have everything you need for class including mats, blocks, bolsters, straps and blankets. There is no additional charge for using these. If you have your own mat feel free to bring it.
What should I wear?
Wear something that you feel comfortable in and can move freely in. You do not need fancy leggings and branded clothing to do yoga!!! Bring layers to put on in the colder months that you can wear at the beginning and end of class.
Is the room heated?
The room does have a heat pump and overhead heating panels so we can keep the studio warm for you but we do not offer 'Hot Yoga' at Yoga Ground.
How long before class can I eat?
We recommend not eating at least 2 hours prior to class and try to have a light meal if you can.
Do I have to do a beginners course before I can do the classes?
No,not at all. The beginners courses are really popular and a great way to learn along side others at the same level as you, however our classes are aimed at all levels of student and our teachers will offer instructions and variations to suit beginners through to more experienced yogis.
Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?
Definitely not. Yoga can be a great practice to help you gain flexibility but this is not the goal of yoga. Everyone's bodies are different and their yoga practice and postures will all be different too. We want you to experience how a posture feels for your own body and to work within your limits. Our teachers will give modifications so you can choose different forms of the postures that suit you and your body at that point.
Where can I park?
You can find info about parking here.
What happens when I arrive?
Arrive about 15 minutes before the class starts to check in and get settled. Leave your shoes in the cubbies outside and bring all your valuable into the cubbies in the studio.
You then check in at the desk and tick your name on the ipad. Check that your mobile phone is on aeroplane mode. We try to be as quiet and courteous as possible when moving around the studio and communal areas. If you need a mat retrieve one from the shelves behind reception. Then find a place for your mat facing the teachers mat. Your mat will be laid perpendicular to the teacher’s one.
