MEDITATION & PRANAYAMA INTRODUCTION - ENTRY BY DONATION

  • Yoga Ground 56 Surrey Crescent Grey Lynn, Auckland, 1021 New Zealand (map)

Life is more stressful than ever, and with anxiety related conditions now on the rise across all age groups, there is no better time than now to explore healthy, accessible ways to relax and focus. In this era of extreme flux these ancient time proven techniques are now being embraced as an effective, easy approach for bringing calmness and control to our mind and emotions.

However preconceived ideas and expectations surrounding mediation has many people unsure if they can do it or even if it’s for them. Rest assured that everybody can meditate and in vastly different ways.

In this introduction you’ll be guided through basic breath techniques (ranayama) for meditation preparation, and explore meditation with mantra, without mantra and using creative visualisation.

We will also unpack the history of meditation and pranayama; the facts and fiction, how using mantra, mudra, sound vibration and breath can make meditation so much easier, how duration affects the brain, and finally, the incredible benefits that can be experienced when integrating regular meditation and pranayama into your life.

Entry to this session is by donation at the door but please register online in advance. Proceeds will be given to World Vision to support its Covid Relief work in India.
